The Project manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to project organisation, management of multiple projects throughout the full project lifecycle, site coordination, materials ordering, materials planning, installation, and training planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Working alongside the project, service and production managers to ensure delivery and completion of projects on time and budget.
- Meeting with top management and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
- Day to day management of system projects.
- Developing detailed project plans to guide clients, staff members and project teams and revising based on changing needs and requirements.
- Ordering of stock and parts for systems projects.
- Organising sub-contractors required for project work.
- Ensuring all employees and sub-contractors meet site H&S requirements.
- Ensuring RAMS are submitted and approved prior to commencement of work.
- Ensuring all sub-contractors submit RAMS prior to commencement of work.
- Ensuring all employees and sub-contractors have had necessary inductions.
- Organising the build of project equipment in readiness for project.
- Liaising with the service department to plan and organise workforce.
- Liaising with Software team to plan and organise workforce.
- Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery.
- Organising delivery of equipment to site for install, ensuring stock is accounted for.
- Managing documents for issue to internal teams.
- Compiling and submitting project status reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders.
- Compiling and managing documentation to fulfil client requirements.
- Liaising with clients to manage schedules.
- Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
- Investigate slippage and refine processes.
- Carry out site completion visits for sign off/handover documentation.
About you
- Qualification in project management or equivalent Prince 2 / APM / PMI preferred
- Experience of managing project budgets with value of up to at least ¾ of a million
- Demonstrable experience of managing engineering projects
- Use and implementation of formal project
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project-tracking software
- Ability to create simple Gantt charts to keep track of all the components of the project
- Working knowledge of critical path analysis (CPA)
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- Experience of providing input to a business on Project Management best practice and project efficiency
- Client Stakeholder management
