The Role

We have 2 shift patterns available -

1. Double Days (Earlies/Lates)

    0545 - 1415 & 1345 - 2215 on a weekly rotation

    £46,755 pa

2. Three shift rotation ( Early, Night, Night, Late)

    You’ll operate across a 4-week shift rotation:

    Week 1: 05:45–14:15 (Mon–Fri)

    Week 2: 21:45–06:15 (Mon–Fri)

    Week 3: 21:45–06:15 (Mon–Fri)

    Week 4: 13:45–22:15 (Mon–Fri)

    (Then the rotation repeats.)

In this multi-skilled role, you’ll:

  • Read electrical drawings and operate/control plant systems

  • Apply electrical & mechanical expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade plant operations

  • Work across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

  • Lead and supervise contractors on-site

  • Diagnose faults fast—and deliver effective, lasting fixes


What You’ll Need

  • Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical qualification + hands-on maintenance experience (electrical bias = bonus)

  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical skills

  • Solid experience in fault finding and problem solving

  • Background in roles like: Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Site Engineer, Plant Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Heavy Industry Engineer, Recycling Engineer, or even Nautical Engineering
