Agricultural Plant & Vehicle Maintenance Engineer

Blidworth | £25,000 – £32,000 per year (DOE) | Full-Time, Permanent

Ambitions Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our growing client, who are looking to expand their busy in-house workshop team based at their head office on the industrial estate in Blidworth.

Due to significant business growth over recent years, this is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company supporting a team of over 60 staff operating on-site daily.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced and sometimes challenging workshop environment, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance and repair of agricultural plant and machinery including mowers, tractors, strimmers and chainsaws

  • Servicing and maintaining a fleet of over 30 in-house vehicles

  • Attending breakdowns and towing when required

  • Supporting the wider team to ensure minimal downtime for operational staff

This role would suit someone who is confident working both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to meet demanding timescales.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

  • Agricultural plant & machinery experience

  • NVQ or qualification in vehicle maintenance (preferred)

  • Full, clean driving licence (towing capacity preferred)

  • Welding experience (advantageous)

  • At least 1 year’s vehicle maintenance experience (preferred)

  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude

  • Flexibility to work overtime when required

Training will be provided; however, we are seeking someone who can hit the ground running.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 4:30pm

  • Some Saturday mornings required

  • Overtime available (typically around 10 hours per week)

  • Overtime paid at time and a half

Salary & Benefits

  • £25,000 – £32,000 per year (depending on age and experience)
