Members of recruitment firm, Ambitions Personnel, are delighted to announce the company is one of three finalists for the Employer of the Year category at this year’s Newark Business Awards.
The award recognises employers with a business culture that delivers commercial results while inspiring and engaging their employees through structured staff development strategies.
For company directors, Claire Haggar and Mandy Watson, to be recognised in this category is a huge achievement. Ensuring Ambitions is a positive work environment, with fulfilling career opportunities for staff is crucial to the Directors.
Company found, Mandy Watson, says: “Our people are the most important thing to us, and treating them well is why Ambitions Personnel has been so successful.
"Because we value and respect them, our senior team have been with us a long time, so we don’t feel like we’re in it alone.”
Ambitions Personnel marked its 30th anniversary this year; however, celebrations are still on hold due to the pandemic. While the Ambitions’ team continues to work hard, despite the difficult circumstances this year has inflicted, now it looks like there could be even more for the company to celebrate in the near future!
Mandy’s sister and Co-Director, Claire Haggar, who opened the Ambitions Newark branch in 1995, agrees the senior teams length of service has made a real impact on the business' successes.
"We know we could leave the business in their hands if ever we had to. You’ve got to treat the people that you need to rely on as you want them to treat you.”
The Newark Business Awards 2020 is due to take place on Thursday, 22nd October at Newark Showground, and the Ambitions’ team looks forward to celebrating with the Newark business community.
