Our Clients company is a long standing family business with a strong focus on quality, service and innovation. Having invested over £3m into new facilities and equipment are experiencing strong and sustained growth.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain control throughout the entire low risk workforce, this can be achieved by utilising the chain of command effectively and working closely with the team leaders and the management team.
  • You will be a representative of Raynor Foods Ltd who is responsible for all team members working in the low-risk area.
  • You are responsible for maintaining standards of quality, hygiene and safety throughout the low-risk area.
  • You will manage all stock coming in and out, organize stock and pick and pack orders.
  • You are responsible for motivating and developing your team, working towards targets for quality, wages, waste, and consumption.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Monitor progress of team members, identify training requirements and implementation of training
  • Maintain discipline throughout the team, monitor and develop the performance of team members
  • Work with your manager to ensure adequate cover is available to cover your responsibilities when you are absent through sickness or holiday.
  • Take control of goods in area and monitor Use By dates and implement good stock rotation (FIFO)
  • Ensure the daily stock up is carried out by your team correctly and accurately and any shortages reported
  • Take control of the sterilising room and goods in area. Ensure all deliveries are received and checked.
  • Have control of the goods out area and ensure that orders are good quality and correct for our customers. Ensure that all products are packed neatly and that all crates are clearly labelled
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and fully, with reference to end of day checks
  • Identify improvements and problems quickly and take effective action to resolve them.
  • To monitor and work to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Skills:

  • Co-operates and works well with others in pursuit of team goals.
  • Absorbs instructions quickly and acts on them effectively.
  • Works effectively when under pressure and in pressurised environments
  • Be a good communicator and effective delegator.

Knowledge:

  • Must have knowledge of all tasks performed throughout Goods in and Despatch within the low-risk area.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Food hygiene / HACCP qualification would be desirable
  • Workplace Health & Safety regulations
  • Forklift license

Shifts are 9-10 hours per day over 5 days within a 7-day period to include every Sunday. Some flexibility required.
