I am seeking a full-time Stores Operative position at a large production site based in Mansfield. Applicants will have extensive experience in warehouse operations, stock management, and working in fast-paced environments, this is Monday to Friday 8am until 4.30pm.

Job Purpose:

The Store Assistant will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the store. This position requires multitasking abilities, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring the smooth running of store activities. The role involves assisting with stock management, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

  • Ensured a smooth flow of goods between stores and the shop floor by coordinating deliveries and stock replenishment.
  • Worked closely with colleagues and management to ensure that inventory was accurately tracked and products were displayed in a timely and organized manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive stock into stores, ensuring accurate booking of parts onto the system and proper allocation of storage locations.
  • Pack parts in preparation for production, ensuring timely availability for manufacturing processes.
  • Manage stock transfers between locations, ensuring efficient movement and record-keeping of inventory.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate stock movements and resolve any issues related to product availability.
  • Assist in stock-taking activities, ensuring inventory levels are accurate and discrepancies are reported.
  • Perform regular inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy and prevent overstocking or shortages.
  • Handle customer and internal queries regarding stock, resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.

Skills & Experience:

  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) for data entry, reporting, and communication.
  • Working to Tight Deadlines: Experienced in working under pressure to meet tight deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks without compromising quality.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth operations and achievement of shared goals.
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Adaptable and efficient in fast-paced work environments, maintaining focus and delivering results even during periods of high activity or demand.
