Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £35,000 DOE

Ambitions Personnel is working with a well-established dealership in Peterborough that’s looking for an experienced Service Technician / MOT Tester to join their friendly and professional workshop team.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified technician who takes pride in quality work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to progress within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles.
  • Perform MOT tests in line with DVSA standards (if qualified).
  • Diagnose faults and complete vehicle health checks.
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the service team on job progress.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • MOT licence preferred, but not essential.
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience as a technician in a similar environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident using diagnostic and service software.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Package & Hours

  • Salary: Up to £35,000 OTE, depending on experience.
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (some flexibility available).
