We’re working with a values-driven business that became an Employee-Owned Trust in 2019 – and they’re now looking for a proactive, data-driven Stock Manager to join their growing team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Warehouse Manager and two Administrators, you’ll be the key figure overseeing stock performance across a diverse range of over 1,000 products.
With clear progression and a structured onboarding plan in place, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in process improvement, is commercially astute, and loves driving efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Take full accountability for the stock management process (but not people management)
- Own and improve stock control systems using Sage 50 and Excel
- Monitor and reduce lead times, manage minimum order quantities, and maintain stock accuracy
- Analyse supplier performance (products currently imported from Italy, France, and Ireland – moving towards more UK-based suppliers)
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure real-time visibility on stock status and lead times
- Identify and implement process improvements, with a focus on adding value and driving operational efficiency
What We're Looking For:
- A Six Sigma mindset and a passion for process optimisation
- Strong experience with Excel – ideally a true "whizz" with data
- Previous experience with Sage 50
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to work autonomously and confidently report on stock performance at any given time
- Exposure to fast-moving stock environments and familiarity with supplier management
