Job
- Be actively involved in the ripening process and ensure the product is shipped to stores at proper stage and temperature
- To liaise with colleagues in production areas and quality control, ensuring that they are aware of programmes and any issues arising
- To liaise with colleagues in production areas and quality control, for the conveyance of fruit to and from ripening rooms for ripening, production and sales
- Responsible for the training of Assistant's / Trainee Ripeners
- Support the duty Ripener involved in the weekly planning
- Reconcile the stock on Rubicon based on a daily basis
- Any other duties that may fall within the capabilities of the job holder and that would be linked to support the operation, the pack house or the warehouse.
- To understand and maintain food safety standards, integrity, legality and quality on site at all times
Skills
- Proven experience working as a Ripener in a fresh produce environment
- Able to use a stock management system
- Good interpersonal skills
- Flexible to work shift patterns
- Able to lift boxes of bananas up to 20kg
Shifts
Wednesday-Saturday 6am-4pm
This role would suit someone who has worked Aldi, Tesco, Asda, Amazon, QC, Liner Leader, Production team leader, Shift manager, Shift Leader, Auditor, Quality Assurance.
