Our client is a small but growing manufacturing business seeking a hands-on Production Manager to take ownership of their production operations. This is an opportunity for a current line leader or supervisor to take the next step in their career.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all day-to-day production activities
- Plan and schedule workloads across operatives and machinery
- Work hands-on within the production team, including operating machinery
- Oversee stock control, purchasing, and supplier coordination
- Ensure high standards of health & safety and provide staff training
- Maintain and improve quality control systems
- Plan preventative and reactive maintenance
- Coordinate transport and logistics
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- Hands-on experience setting and running machinery
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with suppliers and customers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- IT literate
Working Hours
- Monday- Friday, 7.30am- 4.30pm
