Health & Safety / Compliance Manager

Location: Bourne (with regional travel)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + benefits

We are currently partnering with a well-established and growing business within the heavy industrial sector to recruit a Health & Safety / Compliance Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that is actively investing in its operations and driving continuous improvement across multiple sites.

The Role

Based at the company’s main processing facility in Bourne, you will take full responsibility for Health, Safety, and Compliance across several locations, including additional sites in Boston, Peterborough, and a dock operation in Immingham.

This is a highly visible role within the business, where you will work closely with operational teams to embed a strong safety culture and support ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of Health & Safety and compliance across multiple sites

  • Carry out audits, risk assessments, and site inspections

  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE and environmental legislation

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business

  • Support and influence operational teams to maintain high safety standards

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • A background in heavy industry (waste & recycling, quarrying, mining, or similar)

  • A hands-on, pragmatic approach to Health & Safety

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • A positive, solutions-focused mindset and a desire to drive change

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement)

  • WAMITAB Level 4 or similar environmental qualification (desirable)

What’s on Offer

  • Salary of £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
