We are recruiting an experienced HGV Auto Electrician to join a busy workshop for a well-established manufacturer in Grantham. Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work on HGV rigids
- Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults across vehicle systems
- Work on lighting, braking, ABS/EBS and auxiliary equipment
- Assemble, route and secure wiring looms, connectors, sockets and control modules
- Use diagnostic tools to test systems, carry out inspections and confirm repairs
- Assist with pre-delivery inspections, MOT preparation and refurbishment projects
- Accurately complete all workshop paperwork and electronic job records
- Ensure all work meets health, safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- HGV licence and recognised auto-electrical qualifications are desirable
- Demonstrable experience working as an HGV Auto Electrician
- Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to fault-finding
- Sound understanding of HGV electrical and ABS/EBS systems
- Confident reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical information
- Dependable, quality-driven and able to work both independently and within a team
- HGV licence and recognised auto-electrical qualifications are advantageous but not essential
