Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team as a Goods in and Transport Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods into our facility and ensuring their safe transportation to the appropriate locations. This is a vital position within our business, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities and requirements.

To include Stores Management, Associated general admin work, clean driving licence and must have a forklift licence, some light engineering duties maybe required occasionally including Assembly and Engraving of parts.

· To assist in preparing finished goods ready for delivery to customers in line with ISO 9001 System

o Generate advice notes and C of C’s

o Pack and label goods correctly and to customers’ requirements.

o Utilise 3rd party transport (arranging collection and delivery)

o Be responsible for moving finished goods in and out of stock and maintaining their location and logging their status.

o Assisting with progressing goods around the factory, onto the next stage and updating management of any issues.

o To assist in preparing components ready for sub-contract processing in line with ISO 9001 System

o Generate purchase orders (for subcon and some consumables)

o Pack components to safeguard during transit.

o Using inhouse transport, driving responsibly representing the company at all times.

o Using 3rd party transport

o Tracking subcontract processes and chasing up suppliers to requested lead times, chasing up suppliers and alerting production team of collections, deliveries to and from suppliers and customers.

To assist in all aspects of goods received, in line with ISO 9001 System

o Using bespoke system to book in goods.

o To generate GIN (goods in number) labels

o Unload, receive, check, and identify all incoming materials and goods.

o Be responsible for putting goods and materials in their respective locations and maintaining the locations.

o Moving goods and materials around the premises as required for production.

o Checking and marking up material certificates with Goods In Number, filing and scanning them in

o Marking up job cards with Goods In Number and issuing them to production office.

o To maintain all company vehicles to a legal and road worthy condition

o Ensure all vehicles are kept clean inside and out.

o To carry out all daily, weekly and monthly vehicle checks

o Arrange all repairs, MOTs and services.

o Ensuring the company sustainability and environmental policy is adhered to – reducing, recycling and reusing where possible.

o Waste Management duties.

o Some light engineering duties – engraving, assembly etc.

o Stock control and replenishing of vending machine

o Ordering packaging and consumable supplies

o Carry out any other basic engineering tasks to the benefit of the company, as and when required.

- Receive incoming goods and verify their accuracy against purchase orders
- Inspect goods for any damages or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Organise and store goods in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory management
- Prepare goods for outbound shipments, including packaging, labelling, and documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams to schedule transportation of goods to their respective destinations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols during the transportation process
- Maintain accurate records of all goods received, transported, and delivered
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed

Qualifications:
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and external partners and be the face of the company
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures is preferred
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and take instruction in a fast paced environment.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to take initiative and make sound decisions, ensuing the flow of goods and paperwork is kept in order.

Please note that fluency in English is required for this position and a clean UK driving licence.
