We are looking for a Production & Materials Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing team. This role is a mix of production planning, material management, and learning to work with laser and plasma cutting machines. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are available, allocated efficiently, and waste is minimised. No prior experience with laser or plasma machines is required, as full training will be provided.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and allocate materials to production jobs
- Track stock and offcut usage to minimise waste
- Support production planning and ensure routing sheets and drawings are ready for the machine shop
- Assist with programming laser and plasma machines after training
- Help collate production timings, costings, and reports
- Liaise with production supervisors and managers to keep operations running smoothly
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Basic understanding of technical drawings
- Good computer skills, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Awareness of health & safety practices in a manufacturing environment
