We’re hiring a Credit Controller to join a friendly, fast-paced finance team based in Newstead Village, Nottinghamshire.
This is an entry-level opportunity – ideal for someone with at least 12 months’ experience in credit control. You'll be trained, supported, and genuinely valued. If you've got more than 3 years’ experience in credit control, this one probably isn't for you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email (around 1,000 accounts/month)
- Allocating incoming payments (BACS, card, cheque)
- Emailing invoices and monthly statements
- Managing pro-forma invoices and following up
- Keeping accurate financial records
- Liaising with Sales, Customer Service, and Invoicing teams
- Handling inbound customer enquiries professionally
- Using Sage, SagePay, CRM, and internal systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Around 1 year’s experience in credit control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Outlook (Excel is a bonus!)
- Confident on the phone, comfortable with numbers
- Detail-focused and highly organised
- Motivated, proactive, and ready to learn
