Assistant Compliance Officer – Manufacturing – Succession Planning Role
Location: Outskirts of Grantham (Easily commutable from Grantham, Newark, Bingham, Melton Mowbray, and surrounding areas)
Hours: Full-time, office-based

A well-established manufacturing business is investing in its future through succession planning and is seeking a proactive, detail-focused Assistant Compliance Officer to support the Compliance Manager across Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental (QSHE) functions.
If you have some relevant compliance or H&S certificates and are looking to develop your career – even if you haven’t yet completed your NEBOSH – we still want to hear from you. Full training and mentoring will be provided, with a clear path to becoming a fully qualified Compliance professional.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist in maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Support risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with H&S and environmental legislation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external auditors.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams for documentation and reporting.
- Take part in continuous improvement and compliance projects.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Some relevant compliance or H&S training/certificates (NEBOSH an advantage but not essential).
- GCSEs (A–C) in English, Maths, and Science.
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Teams).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset.
- Strong communicator at all levels.
Desirable:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (if not held, you’ll be supported to achieve it).
- IEMA or CQI membership.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
- Manufacturing or medium-risk environment experience.
- Risk assessment or audit experience.
- Awareness of relevant H&S and environmental legislation.
