Since the UK COVID-19 outbreak, recruitment agency Ambitions Personnel, has continued to source key workers to essential industries.
One of the firm’s long-term clients experiencing a drastic increase in demand for its services is food production and poultry company, Moy Park.
Moy Park’s HR and Performance Director, Kirsty Wilkins, says: “The pandemic has resulted in a heightened demand for chicken with retail customers and with it, opportunities at some of our facilities to meet this demand have risen to support the change in consumer purchasing habits.”
Moy Park’s Account Manager at Ambitions Personnel, Gerrard Grundy, explains: “Moy Park is one of Europe’s largest poultry producers, and they are working around the clock to ensure a consistent supply of quality products to our supermarkets during these very challenging times.”
“While their incredible key workers contribute to ‘feeding the nation’, it is Ambitions duty to support our client and source them essential workers.”
While the production industry is one of the few in-demand businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still a variety of different roles available.
Gerrard says: “Ambitions is supporting Moy Park at all levels, from highly skilled machine operatives and engineers, to those of general production level where previous experience is not essential.”
“The increased demand within grocery retail and COVID-19 related absences have contributed to near a thousand temporary and permanent key worker jobs at Moy Park.”
Ambitions Personnel and Moy Park are following all guidelines enforced by the UK Government to ensure the safety of their workers, and are reviewing these measures daily.
“If anyone has suffered a job loss due to the outbreak, or wants to help with the national effort, they should contact Ambitions regarding the large of number roles we have available at Moy Park in Anwick, Lincolnshire and Ashbourne,” says Gerrard.
