We are working with my successful and established manufacturing SME Client to recruit for a newly created position! This is a busy and fast paced business within the leisure industry. For previous Warehouse Managers or Supervisors, this really is a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own! It’s a fun and lively team with a mix of personalities, cultures and nationalities.
Reporting into Senior Management, the role requires someone with a great deal of initiative, enthusiastic and a can-do attitude. The successful candidate will have a track record of implementing, and importantly, maintaining efficient and effective working practices within a warehouse environment. Further, they will be competent and experienced managing 3PL providers, often to tight timescales.
The role is varied and calls for a person with solid IT and organisational skills, who can communicate effectively at all levels. There is scope for progression and personal development as part of the role.
Duties
Goods In & Goods Out
- Liaising with customers, 3PL providers & suppliers
- System admin & supplier monitoring
- Loading/Unloading of vehicles & FLT duties
Warehouse management
- Ensure warehouse organised & maintained at all times & locations are accurate
- Maintain accurate stock records on system
- Picking - Ensure items are available to production team
- To maintain a quality first approach to the internal movement & storage of items
- Facilitate bulk movements (in or out) and minimise costs for external storage
- Oversight & reporting of all off-site storage
Stock reports, checks & stock-takes
- To provide regular reporting on stock and stock availability in line with demand & recommend action
- To support stores team with monthly & periodic cycle counting
5S and Waste management
- To champion the 5S agenda & contribute to improvement plans
- Implement and action 5S across the warehouse, GI/GO areas & external
- Day to day responsibility for waste management, and waste providers
Reporting & other tasks
- Provide a range of internal reports as detailed above
- Day to day adherence to health and safety policy and procedures
Experience
- MUST have held a previous Warehouse Supervisor role
- 3PL experience very beneficial
- Exposure of 5s
- Attitude is key for this business. Must be positive and engaging
