This role is based in Retford, and you will be responsible for managing the supply chain whilst seeking to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
This is a full time, Monday to Friday role. (37.5 hours per week).
Your duties will include:
- Negotiate transport rates from logistics service providers to ensure a balance of value for money and excellent performance. Involvement in setting the departmental budget.
- Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with the company’s logistics partners.
- Plan production schedules, coordinate raw material purchasing including call off to match operational requirements and review supplier procurement contracts.
- Monitor logistics costs including fuel costs, freight costs and currency exchange rates.

Skills/ Experience:
- Supply chain and logistics industry experience. Line manager experience.
- Strong communication skills are required to ensure stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Good level of numeracy and proficient using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in budget management and cost saving.
- Analytical skills are essential in order to make use of a wide range of data.
This role requires great attention to detail. You will be required to work on your own and also with a team.
