Imagine that feeling you get when you sell a new car, you’ve shaken hands, the contracts signed and you know you’ve just earnt yourself some healthy commission. £16k basic but your earning potential is up to £50k and this is a realistic figure!  

This car dealership based in Grantham is passionate about attracting raw talent from the local market place. They are looking for individuals who can apply themselves in a customer facing sales environment. You don’t need to have previous experience in Sales but you must be passionate about the Sales process, have some idea about car and be willing to learn.

You will receive 6 months intense training, ongoing progression and development, an established team to lean on for support and a direct manager who has been in the car industry for over 14 years.  

You would be representing a local Grantham dealership, with new cars from one well known credible manufacturer, or a mix of used cars.

You typical day:

  • discussing customers' needs and the features of different vehicles
  • arranging test-drives
  • negotiating the sale price, including any 'trade-in' value for a customer's old car
  • working out finance, including cash and car loans
  • selling accessories or after-sales service
  • completing paperwork
  • updating stock lists, ordering new cars or buying used cars
  • keeping the forecourt and vehicles clean
  • meeting sales targets

You need to:

  • Be passionate about Sales and service delivery
  • Be confident in your ability to use your sales and negotiation skills
  • Efficient number skills for working out prices and finance deals
  • The ability to understand explain technical information in everyday language
  • Excellent customer service skills
