So, very much of this job is what you want to make of it, but hopefully your answer to that is “Loads” and you will be an integral part of the growth and diversification drive over the coming years.
Anyone can hand you a job spec, but do you really get a feel for the job from a job spec?
I cannot stress enough that this is a flexible function based on your abilities and desires for growth.
Imagine creating your role, you decide where your skills are best placed and you get to showcase your capabilities.
It may be that the Marketing based functions may not be so appropriate, unless you have the ability/desire to get involved – but there’s a Marketing Manager who takes the lead with all this anyway.
Maybe Sales and Account Management is your bag? That’s fine; you can get involved in that instead and leave the Marketing to the Marketing Manager.
Your initial period will be to get on board and embedded, learn the products, processes and the people, and then you can discuss what you want and how you feel you can take the role forward.
You will eventually become an Account Manager, looking after enquiries, customers/accounts, partners (distributors/agents etc.)
The Sales Director and Marketing Manager would work with you to mentor and coach accordingly and then backfill your role at the appropriate time to enable you to grow and develop.
