Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the role will involve working closely with the production function to carry out routine quality assurance testing and monitoring throughout the manufacturing process and ensure all admin is being completed and all information on product quality is continually fed back to the production team.
This is a position of significant responsibility and accountability; the ideal candidate will have experience working within food manufacturing, have a good working knowledge of HACCP and have previous experience in a similar role. SQDC Process experience is desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate for Quality Assurance Technician will be an excellent communicator with a good standard of spoken and written English, be organised and be able to multi-task as well as having good computer skills.

Your daily duties as Quality Assurance Technician will include calibrating scales and metal detectors; compliance; data inputting; preparing sample kits; organising product samples; metal detection; sampling of products and manage product retests.
You will typically work up to 4 days each week, which could include weekends. Shifts are 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. An element of flexibility is required to cover sickness and holidays. Our client is based in Whittlesey and you will need your own transport, there is ample free parking on site.
