We are working with a growing business who are seeking a senior finance professional to provide high-level support on a flexible, part-time basis (around 3 days per month). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or Finance Director who would like to contribute their expertise without committing to a full-time role.

The company has strong day-to-day bookkeeping support in place, but now requires additional expertise to take the finance function to the next level — introducing management reporting, improving systems, and overseeing more strategic financial tasks.

Key responsibilities will include:

Producing accurate monthly management accounts.
Reviewing and updating terms and conditions of sale and purchase, including liaising with external advisors where needed.
Cash management, ensuring balances achieve the best available interest rates.
Handling ad-hoc financial tasks to support the growth and efficiency of the business.
Reviewing and improving accounting systems, including Sage50, and exploring options for more modern software solutions (e.g. bank links, cloud access, remote functionality).

The ideal candidate will:

Be a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with strong management accounting and financial leadership experience.
Have the ability to work independently, providing strategic advice and practical solutions.
Bring a collaborative, hands-on approach to support and mentor the existing bookkeeping function.
Suit someone either in the later stages of their career looking for part-time consultancy work, or someone seeking flexible hours around other commitments.
