We are seeking an experienced and mechanically skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client’s maintenance department.
This is a stable, long-term opportunity ideal for someone with strong practical ability and a hands-on approach.
Role Overview
Working a 4 on / 4 off fixed day shift (06:00–16:00), this role averages 33 hours per week.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
- Cleaning, changing and carrying out minor maintenance on machinery, including presses and moulds
- Following and implementing a matrix autonomous maintenance programme
- Supporting daily production by completing physical, practical maintenance tasks
- This is a very physical role, suited to someone confident working in an active industrial environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical skills (no formal qualifications required – experience is key)
- Ability to work physically and safely within a maintenance setting
- Reliable, diligent, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable approach with an excellent attendance record
- Understanding of environmental, health and safety requirements
- Counterbalance forklift licence is an advantage, but training can be provided
