As the logistics & transport Manager, you’ll be at the heart of a busy pallet network operation — taking full ownership of its financial and operational performance. You’ll lead from the front, ensuring the site delivers on customer expectations, runs efficiently, and maintains the highest standards of safety, compliance, and profitability.

What You’ll Be Doing as the logistics & transport manager

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver a high-performing, customer-focused operation
  • Monitor KPIs, ensuring all service levels and performance targets are achieved
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of the network
  • Manage costs and resources effectively to meet business goals
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development within your department
  • Take ownership of health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Build strong working relationships across departments and with key stakeholders
  • Drive operational efficiency, vehicle compliance, and effective route planning
  • Provide insightful reports and performance analysis to senior management
  • Be the go-to point of contact for the team and key clients, ensuring consistent communication and delivery

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale logistics or transport operations
  • A hands-on leadership style that motivates and empowers teams
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a keen eye for detail
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency
  • Excellent knowledge of transport legislation, compliance, and safety standards
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • CPC qualification advantageous
  • Proven logistics/transport experience required
