We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Advisor to join a supportive, down-to-earth team in a busy manufacturing environment. This is a true generalist role, giving you the autonomy to lead your own projects while working alongside an experienced HR Director who’s been at the business for 4 years. You’ll also be supported by an L&D Administrator, an Admin Support, and an Apprentice.

You’ll primarily support one site of around 100 employees, within a group of 180 employees across multiple sites. This role involves a mix of employee relations, recruitment, HR operations, and generalist HR work in a fast-paced, practical environment.

What’s in it for you?

  • Full autonomy to manage HR processes for your site while knowing you’re well-supported.

  • A fantastic, down-to-earth team who work together across functions.

  • Opportunity to visit a second site weekly with support from the Safety & Quality Manager — real insight into the wider business.

  • A mix of office and factory HR work — no day is ever the same.

  • Travel is minimal and manageable: primarily Newark, with one site down the A1 visited once per week.

The Role:

  • Provide full generalist HR support for 100 employees, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR administration.

  • Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability cases independently.

  • Partner with managers to advise and coach on HR best practice and compliance.

  • Support HR projects, process improvements, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Work alongside the wider HR team to share knowledge and contribute to group-wide initiatives.

About You:

  • Practical, hands-on, and confident HR professional.

  • Experience managing ER cases and advising managers in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong communication skills, approachable, and able to build rapport across teams.

  • Comfortable in a blue-collar, manufacturing environment.

  • Ideally holds CIPD Level 3 (desirable, not essential).

Why This Role?
This is a real opportunity to make an impact in a collaborative, supportive environment, with space to work autonomously and grow your HR career. You’ll be part of a team who genuinely value people, with a mix of office and site-based work that keeps things varied.

Benefits:

  • Additional leave

  • Company events

  • Cycle to work scheme

  • On-site parking
