Our client, a well-established and highly respected provider of garage door solutions in Grantham, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Garage Door Installer & Technician to join their growing team on a temporary-ongoing basis.
We’re looking for a skilled tradesperson with a passion for hands-on work and a commitment to exceptional service.
This role is working part time hours to be confirmed so flexibility is required.
The Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of both residential and commercial garage doors—including openers and related hardware.
The position requires a high degree of precision, physical fitness, and problem-solving ability, as well as a customer-first mindset.
You’ll be representing a trusted brand, traveling to various job sites, and working both independently and as part of a team to ensure each project meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain garage doors and opener systems at residential and commercial sites
- Accurately measure, assemble, and secure door systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues
- Assist with heavy lifting of doors and related equipment
- Address customer questions and concerns with professionalism and clarity
- Apply skills in framing, remodeling, drywall, and basic electrical work
- Collaborate with fellow technicians and support teams to deliver seamless service
- Uphold the company’s strong reputation for exceptional workmanship and customer care
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Previous experience installing or servicing garage doors is highly preferred
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Basic electrical knowledge (wiring and troubleshooting)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the service area
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
