Your role will include:
- Running the day-to-day production across laser cutting, fabrication, welding, machining, painting and more.
- Creating efficient production plans to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Managing workflow, resources, staffing and machinery to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
- Maintaining the highest levels of quality control and ensuring all work meets exacting standards.
- Motivating and mentoring a team of experienced production staff.
- Championing health and safety across the shop floor.
- Using data to measure performance, identify problems and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams like procurement, design and sales to deliver outstanding results.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior manufacturing or factory management position.
- A solid background in metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding, or similar disciplines.
- Proven success in improving processes and performance (Lean, Six Sigma or similar a big plus).
- A natural leader with strong communication and team management skills.
- Confident using production planning tools and working with data to make decisions.
- Passionate about quality, safety and innovation.
- A relevant qualification in engineering or manufacturing (or equivalent experience).
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience with robotic welding systems, CNC machines or similar specialist equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.
