Fabricator/Welder – Full Time

Pay: £15.50–£16.50 per hour

Job Summary

Our client is are looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our growing and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in welding and metal fabrication, with the ability to work confidently with steel sections and sheet metal. You will produce high-quality work, interpret technical drawings, and maintain excellent safety standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components and assemblies from sheet metal and various steel materials

• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively

• Assemble parts and structures to drawings and specifications

• Perform MIG welding to a high standard; stick welding as required

• Carry out quality checks to ensure all finished products meet company standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

• Work collaboratively with other team members to improve efficiency

• Use basic maths skills for accurate measuring, cutting, and shaping of materials

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication (minimum 5 years)

• Strong experience working with steel sections and sheet metal

• Proficient with fabrication tools, machinery, and workshop equipment

• Strong mechanical understanding and ability to read technical drawings

• MIG welding proficiency required; TIG welding experience highly desirable

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
