We are seeking a skilled Extruder Operator with proven extrusion experience to step into a key role within their busy production department.

Hours of Work

Monday–Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm

Friday: 8.00am – 1.00pm

About the Role

 

The successful candidate will support the efficient running of the extrusion lines, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on role within a busy team where attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Operate in line with company Health & Safety and GMP standards at all times.
  • Prepare and set up extrusion machinery to meet product quality requirements.
  • Carry out changeovers, recording all machine settings, materials used, batch details and any observations during production.
  • Monitor the extrusion process throughout each run, checking for defects or deviations and adjusting equipment where needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain product consistency and minimise downtime.
  • Complete all relevant documentation including run sheets, inspection results, time sheets and material logs.
  • Perform routine servicing such as die preparation, filter changes, water changes and general cleaning of equipment.
  • Support housekeeping and organisation of the line, following the 5S system.
  • Granulate materials where required and record associated batch information.
  • Safely store completed sleeves/products as directed by the Logistics team and update location logs accurately.
  • Work efficiently to help the team achieve weekly production schedules and service level targets
