Customs Agents required - immediate start available.
£10 per hour + benefits | Full-time | Temporary to Permanent | On-going training

We are working with a well-established business based in Worksop who are looking for Customs Agents to join their busy and fast paced team. You will be responsible for ensuring customs declarations are completed on time and in full to allow goods to move. Relevant training will be given to enable you to carry out your duties.
Duties will include:
- Preparation and completion of customs entries for import and export
- Accurate data entry
- Responding to customs queries, including commodity codes, duty rates, licences and documentation
- Ensuring the calculation of duty and VAT is accurately reflected in the entry acceptance
- Maintaining alignment with current and evolving legislation and customs procedures
- Ensuring compliance at all times
- Ensuring company procedures are followed to ensure that there is no financial loss to the company or third parties
The candidate will:
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with a professional manner
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Have previous customs or logistics knowledge – not essential but this would be highly advantageous
- Ideally have a Transport admin/ logistics/ supply chain background – not essential
- Have strong PC skills, including Office 365 packages
- Have the ability to work in a multi-software work environment
Hours (on a rotational shift pattern)
Week 1: 7am – 3.30pm
Week 2: 2.30pm – 11pm
HOWEVER
Day 1: training will be 10:00am-17:00pm
Your first week will be 09:00am -17:30pm
