We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer for an experienced CNC Programmer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled programmer looking for long-term stability and excellent working hours, including an early finish on Fridays.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming CNC machines from engineering drawings
- Working primarily with Mazak machines, preferably using Mazatrol controls
- Editing, proving, and optimising programs to improve efficiency
- Setting and operating machines as required
- Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
- Carrying out self-inspection and ensuring quality standards are met
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a precision engineering environment
- Strong experience with Mazak / Mazatrol programming (highly desirable)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Good understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
