Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm

We are currently recruiting for multiple Assembly Operative positions to join a well-established and growing employer based in Kirkby in Ashfield. These are full-time permanent roles offering long-term stability and development opportunities in a supportive team environment.

 

Role Overview

As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality products, ensuring all work meets strict standards for accuracy and safety. You’ll play a key part in achieving production targets and maintaining a ‘right first time’ approach to manufacturing.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting press machines to correct heights for different product batches

  • Press fitting insulators into shells and applying epoxy resin (as per route card instructions)

  • Assembling hardware into shells using specific tooling and presses

  • Hand marking parts with identification numbers

  • Printing and applying labels using Wintotal

  • Checking for shell damage or machining faults

  • Inspecting your own and others’ work to ensure it meets quality standards

 

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an Assembly Operative, Production Operative, or Manufacturing role is essential

  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Willingness to undergo training as required
