Administrator

A well-established logistics business based in Grantham is looking to recruit a full-time Stock Administrator to join their Stock Office team.

You will:

  • Process stock receipts and despatches accurately using the Warehouse Management System.
  • Enter orders and receipts onto the system correctly from customer and supplier information, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Ensure all additional information is recorded as per customer requirements.
  • Allocate correct product codes, best before dates, and product status codes to orders, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Compile paperwork for receipts and despatch of goods correctly, taking into account any specific customer requirements.
  • Build manifests to customer and transport company requirements.
  • Maintain and manage the vehicle movement booking diary to provide suitable booking times, ensuring compliance with diary parameters set by management.
  • Confirm stock levels in the system when products are loaded onto vehicles and ensure correct paperwork is handed to drivers.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously, both written and spoken, at all levels internally and externally, including with customers, transport companies, and colleagues.
  • Liaise with the loading bay and cold store operational teams to ensure smooth coordination of stock handling and resolve stock issues.
  • Support customer requirements by providing accurate and timely stock reports and information.
  • Assist with customer audits, stock takes, reconciliations, and stock adjustments.
  • Complete all paperwork required by Health & Safety, Quality Systems, Risk Management, and company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including HACCP and Quality Systems.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and the company’s Employee Handbook.

  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Willingness to work overtime and cover Saturdays on a rota basis (approximately once a month).

Additional Information:

  • Initial 12 weeks will be via agency at a flat hourly rate of £13.09 per hour, working 40 hours per week.
  • Full training will be provided on the job.
  • Successful completion of the initial 12-week assessment will result in permanent employment.
  • Overtime is required to cover holidays and busy periods.
  • Immediate start available with 4 to 6 weeks of comprehensive training.
