Accounts & Administration Assistant – Newark (School Hours Available)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: School hours (flexible)
Start date: Immediate

We’re working with a well-established business based in Newark who are looking for an Accounts & Administration Assistant to join their small, friendly team. This is an office-based role that offers school hours and a great opportunity for someone experienced in Sage and Excel who enjoys working independently.

The Role:

  • Processing payroll and Sage journals

  • Accurate data entry into Excel spreadsheets and Word documents

  • Online banking, timesheet processing, and email correspondence

  • Providing general administrative support and assisting with shipping paperwork

  • Supporting with HR administration (via Ambitions Personnel)

About You:

  • Proficient in Sage and Microsoft Excel

  • Highly organised, accurate, and detail-oriented

  • Able to work without supervision and manage your own workload

  • Positive, proactive attitude with the confidence to “jump straight in”

  • Previous experience in accounts or finance administration preferred

Training is not available for this role, so you’ll need to be confident in your ability to pick things up quickly and work independently. Our client may offer a higher salary for the right level of experience.
