4-6 weeks training
Temporary 12 week contract (possibly-permanent) and permanent employees work 40 hrs but get paid 45 hrs weekly.
Working alternating early/late shifts, along with 6-hours every other Saturday morning at 1½.
As a Receipt & Despatch Clerk you will process all stock receipts and despatches on the Warehouse Management IT system, whilst updating the vehicle movement booking diary system, working closely with customer service support staff.
Communicating directly with visiting lorry drivers you need to have good written & basic PC skills along with excellent communication skills.
You will enjoy a process-driven environment and be comfortable to make decisions when things don't go according to plan.
Overtime, weekend working and flexibility is a definite requirement for this job. BUT overtime hours are paid at 1.5 x the hourly rate Monday - Friday, 1.5 x the hourly rate for the 1st 6 hours of working on Saturday, and 2 x the hourly rate for any time after the first 6 hours on Saturday and all Sunday working.
