We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Quality Assurance Technician for a Temporary to Permanent position to work with one of Europe’s largest food companies in Ashbourne. You will be offered a regular shift, 4 x 10 hours, plus opportunities for overtime.
Working Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday every week 5.00am – 3.30pm.
You will form part of a team responsible for ensuring the welfare of chicks, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene, animal welfare and health and safety. You could be working with live birds and so it is important you understand the importance of animal welfare.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the role will involve you assisting with auditing of the hatchery environment and activities to enable full assessment of standards being achieved. You will report technical performance of the business internally and liaise with relevant internal personnel to identify any issues and to improve them.
This is a position of significant responsibility and accountability. You will keep the hatchery Manager Informed of problems relating to egg quality, hatchability and chick quality.
Essentially, you will be an excellent communicator with a good standard of spoken and written English, a sound decision maker who is organised and be able to multi-task, have good computer knowledge and skills.
