Change for the Better… you don’t need to be fluent Japanese to understand the translation of this phase instead; you will have had direct exposure to Kaizen, 5S or other Lean Manufacturing methodologies. You will be an advocate of change and able to drive it throughout your direct reports, gaining their buy-in through a hands on approach to management.
Now for the technical bit… you will be an Engineering professional (ideally to degree level) with a head for figures, able to analyse efficiencies and develop Product and Process Quality through participative management and integration of the Engineering and Quality teams. You will be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and able to demonstrate this at interview stage through a short assessment
