A business in Grantham is on the lookout for a Procurement and Purchasing Manager to join their team.
This business is developing their site in Grantham into a ‘superhub’, so you’ll be going into an environment perfect for your personal development.
Working closely with the Managing Director, it will be your responsibility to ensure an efficient and effective procurement function.
You will have full responsibility for the purchasing department, implementing new processes and procedures, verifying and securing the key and new suppliers, monitoring and forecasting inventory as well as managing the procurement budget.
You will manage the Purchasing Department and be an integral part of growing your new team.
If you like the sound of being accountable for the suppliers in terms of timescales, cost, reliability, and quality.
You can confidently manage the preferred supplier's list and negotiate renewals, whilst source new products and ranges from existing or new suppliers in line with cost optimization and quality as well as identify areas for improvement on current processes and procedures then this could be the perfect job for you.
You will also:
- Develop and manage department KPIs
- Produce ad hoc reports as required by the Managing Director and CEO
- Occasional travel and overnight stays will be required
