In your new role as an operations manager your salary will be £28,000.00 plus generous Christmas bonus
Your hours of work will be 8:00 to 4:30. Flexibility is offered on working hours.
In your new role as an operations manager, you will have a broad role within a small but rapidly expanding engineering business. You will be tasked with running the day-to-day operations of the company including communicating with customers and suppliers, generating factory works orders and booking out completed orders.
In your new role as an operations manager you will be responsible for:
• Generating purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to meet factory requirements
• Taking customer orders, raise the sales orders and factory works orders through our order management system.
• Liaise with customers over order delivery dates
• Liaise with factory foreman regarding production requirements, supplier delivery dates, stock errors etc.
• Generate delivery notes for completed orders and book required couriers and pallet haulage
• Book stock into the warehouse and liaise with suppliers on any delivery shortages or quality issues
• Periodic stock takes by stock category throughout the year
• Chase suppliers for urgent deliveries, or any overdue orders
