Customer Support Coordinator

"The principal role of the Customer Support Coordinator is to work in conjunction with the Sales & Logistics functions to ensure effective order management for customers."

The role will be working as part of a busy team, and you will play a key part in the organisation. Functions of the role will include customer order processing, coordination, expediting & communication. The role will require you to deal with a large number of emails and you will be expected to deal with customers, interact with other departments, handle queries, order progression and expediting of product to ensure effective completion on time for customer orders in a professional manner. 

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to a large number of emails, ensuring they are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Communicate and acknowledge effectively both verbally and by e-mail with internal and external contacts, meeting the requirements of the department.
• Ensure that Customer Purchase Orders are entered promptly and accurately, checking pricing, product description accuracy and clear delivery expectations and advising customer if this does not meet customer requirements and issue order acknowledgements, confirmations or proformas as required.
• Personal responsibility for a defined customer base and secondary support to further customer base. With a willingness to learn about the customers and products.
• Ensure that timely updates are given to customers & sales teams, in terms of order status.
• Management of orders ensuring all aspects of the project are controlled to maximise customer satisfaction.
• To investigate and resolve price / shipping / credit term related queries, also ensuring actions are put into place to prevent further queries.
• To liaise with the Logistics Team to ensure customer orders are dispatched and delivered in accordance with customer requirements.
• Contribute actively in achieving the monthly/yearly sales target for the assigned portfolio.
• Understand the SAP order management to interrogate and investigate specific customer orders
• Contribute to the customer service team pre-defined service levels and strive to continuously improve those levels and associated processes."

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within a business-to-business sales environment (desirable)
  • Proficient in IT support packages including Excel and Outlook.
  • SAP system knowledge (desirable)"
