Accounts Assistant

I am looking for an experienced accounts assistant who can 'hit the ground running' and embrace a 12 month fixed term contract at a well renowned power management company in Worksop. 


The role will be working 36 hours per week, working 8am to 4pm (Mon- Thurs) and 8am – 2:30pm (Fri).


This role maintains the purchase ledger, sales ledger, cashbook and petty cash, and provides support to other members of the Finance Department.

You will need to:

Accurately process all invoices.
Maintain Purchase Ledger (including consignment stock) and ensure its accuracy.
Ensure the accurate and timely payments of all suppliers and support the setting up of new vendor records.
Maintain the sales ledger and ensure its accuracy.
Control the petty cash and expenses process.
Prepare and process the cashbook, and check bank statements.
Assist the Plant Controller in the preparation of the month end accounts, budgets, forecasts etc.
Provide information and support for other members of the Finance Department.
Any other ad-hoc duties.
