We have a brilliant opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer supervisor to join a team based 15 miles outside of Grantham on a permanent basis. Due to the location of the role own transport is essential.
This role follows a shift Rotation 6am - 2pm / 2pm – 10pm. Flexibility to work one weekend in a month is essential.
Requirements for the role:
- Welding and fabrication experience required.
- Experience in identifying electrical faults.
- Experience in reading and work from circuit diagrams.
- 17th/18th Edition Qualification
- Experience with 3-phase electrical systems required.
- Team leading ability
- Experience of motors, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics, drive systems and general mechanics
- Good understanding of Mechanical & Electrical engineering
Job Duties:
- Working closely with all employees including shop floor operatives and staff – Maintain high performance, flexible “can do” attitude.
- Ensure maintenance colleagues on your shift are active and effective.
- Engineering maintenance and servicing of site equipment. Including but not limited to air handling equipment, compressors, Multiple and various rotating drums, large ovens, Fiber opening equipment, ventilation systems, motors, burners, hydraulic presses and cutting systems.
- Suggest and promote process improvements to better the running of machinery and processes.
- Engineering maintenance for the building
- Supporting all on-going / New projects
- Work within a team and alone without instruction.
- Commit to ensuring production lines are active through overtime if needed.
- Keep track of stock and spares to ensure parts are in place as and when needed.
- Undertake training for new skills and tasks in line with Personal Development Plans and as requested by Management.
