Are you looking for a challenging role where you can showcase your skills? Do you have experience working in a manufacturing environment as an electrical and mechanical engineer? If so, this position would be perfect for you! 

We have an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join a company based 15 miles outside of Grantham. Due to the location own transport is essential. 

We are looking for someone who will be hands on in a fast paced manufacturing environment. 

To be successful for this role you will have experience with welding and fabrication, identifying electrical faults, reading and working from circuit diagrams and experience with 3 phase electrical systems. 

We are looking for someone who has good understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering, knowledge of process automation equipment and someone that comes with a proactive approach to fault finding, prevention and continuous improvement. 

The working hours for this role are: 8 hour shift rotations from 6am-2pm rotating to 2pm-10pm. This is a 40 hour per week role and overtime is available. We are looking for someone with flexibility to complete these shifts as well as 1 weekend within a month.

Duties of the role: 

  • Responsible for maintaining various machines within the facility
  • Maintaining the manufacturing equipment and site utilities to ensure continuous and safe operation
  • Work closely with all employees including shop floor operatives and staff
  • Engineering maintenance and servicing of site equipment. Including but not limited to air handling equipment, compressors, Multiple and various rotating drums, Large ovens, Fiber opening equipment, ventilation systems, motors, burners, hydraulic presses and cutting systems.
  • Suggest and promote process improvements to better the running of machinery and processes
  • Engineering maintenance for the building
  • Supporting all on-going / New projects
  • Work within a team and alone without instruction
  • Commit to ensuring production lines are active through overtime if needed
  • Keep track of stock and spares to ensure parts are in place as and when needed.
  • Undertake training for new skills and tasks in line with Personal Development Plans and as requested by Management
