    Job Description

    Payroll Officer/Purchase Ledger Controller

    My Client is a privately owned company established in the mid 1950's. They specialise in UK and European Haulage, Logistics, Warehousing/Property Development, Crane Hire and Machinery.

    They are looking to recruit a new member to join their accounts team who will be responsible for both the Purchase Ledger and Payroll. Alongside these two main roles there is also a wide range of general accounting duties.

     

     

     

    Person Specifications

    Skills required are:

    At least 3 years’ experience within a Payroll and Purchase Ledger role.

    Sage 50 Payroll experience preferable.

    Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail

    Microsoft Word/Excel

    Must be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative

    Ability to communicate at all levels

    Work to strict deadlines

    This position will also be expected to assist with all other aspects of the busy accounts department during busy periods/holiday cover etc.

    Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
